Breaking internet addiction

After a weekend spent continually attached to my phone and laptop- I need help! I had grand plans to read, write, walk and go for a run- instead I sat playing candy crush and refreshing the same social media sites again and again. I honestly think I am a bit addicted and I'm sick of wasting my spare time- has anyone been in this position and how did you get out of it?

Switch your devices off and turn them on at specific times only.
There are apps that can do the control part for you, they stop or limit your access.

Thank you- will investigate those - I feel really pathetic like I should be able to do it myself but an app might help

There's a book called How to break up with your phone. It's really helped me.
