Have n/c for this, been around a while.

Has anybody had a NDE? What was it like? What processes did your body and mind go through? I am curious because I have had a couple now, and still here. I wonder if it is similar for everyone.

Well I was born with the cord wrapped around my neck.

I went to see a psychic about 20 years ago and He said. Do you realise how lucky you are to be here, because You very very nearly didn't make it.

Obviously I don't remember it, but It has impacted me to know that things would have been very different. For one thing my daughter wouldn't have been here. Also I mean would my parents marriage have survived. Therefore would my sister have been here.
Also again not the same thing really, but kind of. When I was around 11. My dad tried to end his life. He was found by a stranger on his dads grave who called an ambulance. Had he not be found my sister who was born 2 years later would not have been here. Therefore my nephews would also not have been here.
Not only did that person save my dad. He also saved future generations.
I guess its like the movie sliding doors.

I choked in a restaurant a few years ago. Didn't pass out, but almost. I still get nightmares.

If you do the heimlich manoeuvre you have to do it VERY hard. Don't worry about breaking ribs.

After an emcs I had a suspected heart attack. My dh had taken my other dc to see the newborn in special care. As I looked around I realised I was dying in a room full of strangers....
Was terrifying.
Was an unexplained 'episode' as all heart investigations turned up a blank.

I haven’t myself (although I had a major outer body experience when I was younger) but my Grandpa did.

He briefly died in an ambulance on the way to hospital for 10 minutes. He said he left his body and watched them trying to resuscitate him. Then he said he started floating towards a beautiful bright light but a voice told him it wasn’t his time and the next thing he knew was that he woke up in hospital.

When I went into see him, we were told that he was not aware that he had been resuscitated at that point and he would be told later. As I sat next to him he said ‘I died and I know they resuscitated me, I watched them’ and he went onto explain what I’ve written above. We never spoke of it again!

Yes in a terrible car crash. I saw my whole life flash in front of me like photographs as I panicked and tried to squeeze out of an upside down crashed car. I wasn't dying but knew I would if I didn't get out soon as I could smell petrol, hear it dripping and smell smoke. I got out before the fire.

Nothing medical or particularly interesting here but I hit something in the road and fell into the path of an oncoming car while out on my bike on quite a fast road - luckily it managed to brake in time and missed me by seconds and I wasn’t badly hurt at all but I remember hitting whatever it was, feeling the bike go, seeing the car coming towards me and just thinking oh well, that’s that then. DH was with me and his face was completely grey for about half hour afterwards. Grin
