Has anyone had this inserted by general anaesthetic? Both a gp and a gynaecologist after a colposcopy couldn't insert it. My cervix is very hostile!!! They recommended getting a general anaesthetic, I have no issue with being knocked out, I have before I just wondered if anyone has also gone this route?

Yes I had my first fitted this way and then a replacement after it came out of place. I found it so much easier after the doctor tried without anaesthetic which was excruciating having not had a child.

This way I was knocked out and when I came to there was a little bleeding and 24hrs getting over the anastethic but have had no issues with it.
