My DH is wanting to retrain as an electrician. I was just wondering if anyone could offer some insight into the sort of hours or working pattern he’d be looking at. At the moment he’s working 90 hours a week including every weekend. He’s hoping for a much better work-life balance. Being able to spend time with our DCs (and me!), maybe the odd weekend away together, being around to contribute to family life etc. He has a hobby that he hasn’t been able to do since December due to the hours he’s putting in. He seems set on being an electrician and has looked into all of the courses etc. I’m really just hoping to get a realistic idea of what life will be like.
