Out of date chicken...

Ffs... just got back from a week away on Friday. Checked fridge and noticed a pack of pre cooked unopened chicken had gone out of date (use by 31st May).

Told DH not to eat any/give any to DC and will feed it to the cats. He acknowledged.

He’s just told me he forgot and gave some to DS (4) yesterday lunchtime... how ill should I expect him to be, if at all?

It’s only just over a week out of date. Should be okay.

Well of he had it yesterday lunchtime and has shown no sign of illness I would say it's likely he is safe.

Please bin it though, don't give it to the cat.
