Manga for 12 YO DD

Morning all. My soon to be 12 yo DD has recently started liking Manga. She also likes drawing (she's not particularly technical though) so I thought for her birthday I'd give her some materials. I was wondering what would be a good started set?

Also, what would be a good collection of Manga books to buy her? This is alien territory for me. I think my DD won't be into the super cute characters or even people as such, more into sinister looking animals, if that makes any sense.

Any advice, suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Ds likes One Piece, Bleach, One Punch Man and My Hero Academia rings a bell though i cant remember if its anime or manga. The manga markers can be crazy expenive, i got a full set on Wish that are quite good.

If you're able to get to London there's a big Manga exhibition at the British museum and a smaller one at Japan House in Kensington. Will ask DS who is Manga mad for more info on pens etc.

Pen-wise, DS recommends Winsor and Newton grayscale. He also has a lot of Copic markers.

DS also loves Studio Ghibi films - Ponyo, Spirited Away etc. In fact, we're going to Japan this summer and he is so excited (as am I)!

I 2nd my hero academia great manga and anime. DD loves it and quite child friendly. It's like kids superheros learning how to be superheros.

I am looking for the same. A great manga book with female characters.

I loved the Naruto manga at this age, but even though it's a classic I have no idea how it would have aged.

My Hero Academia is a great choice, coming of age story with super powers.

Water stones and WHSmith sell lots of manga. See if there's a shop called forbidden planet near you it's awesome for all that kind of stuff. I recommend full metal alchemist and shaman king.
