Floradix or Metatone or Feroglobin?

ElspethFlashman · 08/06/2019 18:06

Need a tonic for a boost of energy. These 3 tonics seem to be the most recommended, but has anyone here any opinions?

What worked, what didn't? What tasted nice, what tasted rank? Any tummy upset from any of them?

TIA! Flowers

Liquid floradix all the way. Brought my periods back after 3 years with out. If I skip a few days start to feel tired again. Have tried other brands and the same tiredness. Taste is fine/can be masked in OJ if you dont like it (you should take it with vit c so that it absorbs properly) no issues with constipation (Which I always get with tablet iron)

Good luck!

Another thumbs up for liquid floradix. I actually like the flavour, but as PP says, you can take in OJ if you prefer.

Thought this was a Baby Names thread.

As you were...

Are the Floridax tablets as good?

ElspethFlashman · 08/06/2019 20:31

Good question! Having to keep a tonic in the fridge is a pain and you're more likely to forget about it.

But on the other hand, vitamin tablets tend to be the size of submarines....Hmm

I really rate the Feroglobin tonic, I literally bounce out of bed if I'm taking it regularly. It's pretty thick and syrupy though, with a strong malty taste that not everyone will appreciate. My husband can't stand it!
I have been trying to cut sugar out and so have stopped taking it, but miss the boost it gives me. Is the Floradix syrupy or not? Might give that a whirl!

Floradix for iron.

Berocca for energy

CCquavers · 08/06/2019 21:56

Floradix gave me back my energy levels after about 2 weeks.

Anyone tried Metatone?

So far the Floradix is winning but it's also the most expensive!

I take spatone in Apple Juice. Has really helped my iron levels

Floradix followed by a glass of fresh orange juice.
