I don’t post often I’m more of a reader but I’m shocked to see on my iPhones screen time that over the past 7 days I’ve spent nearly 7 hours on Mumsnet!

What’s yours?!

OP posts:
Emmabryant123 · 08/06/2019 15:06

No idea but far to much time

TheSassyAssassin · 08/06/2019 15:09

over the past 7 days I’ve spent nearly 7 hours on Mumsnet!

OP you're an amateur at this so I wouldn't worry too much... I have been known to get close to that in a day... Blush I am well aware I need to attend MN-Anonymous in the very near future ... Grin

80sMum · 08/06/2019 15:10

Far too much! I get totally immersed and lose track of the time.

About a 2 hours a day, so double what you’re achieving Grin

Les and less there. It's become quite odd. Lots of feeble women shrieking on AIBU because a shop assistant was 'rude' to then in Next or M & S; or who don't have the basic gumption to go to a wedding and be seated separately from their husband who is best man; or act like an adult and raise issues with your neighbours, colleagues etc; or have an ounce of assertion.
Then there is that hideous pitch-fork wielding thread running about the woman who when drunk fell asleep on her baby, all to no obvious end.
Some of it almost indistinguishable from the Daily Mail.
I find myself thinking, more and more frequently, who are these people.

SherlockSays · 08/06/2019 15:17

7 hours 56 minutes - don't think that's bad actually! I barely get time to do anything on my phone on my 4 working days though so it probably would be a lot more otherwise.

Surprised it was the top of my apps though - I thought instagram and Twitter would be higher.

LemonTreeLemon · 08/06/2019 15:22

Apparently over the last 7 days I've spent 10hrs 40 on MN Blush

CarolDanvers · 08/06/2019 15:54

Way, way too much. If I get on my OU course in September I will come off MN and FB entirely. It's the only way I will get anything done.

wheresmymojo · 08/06/2019 16:07

16.9 hours in the past 7 days Shock

I don't have DC in case anyone thinks I've got neglected children but I think I should probably pay more attention to DH.

I'm awful for double screening Blush

TipseyTorvey · 08/06/2019 16:16

If I didn't have mumsnet I would barely engage with a single soul outside of work and immediate family so you'll be prising it out of my cold dead hands. I do socialise on Saturdays but the rest of the week is just drudge so I will keep being addicted methinks.

S0CKS · 08/06/2019 16:18

No idea guesstimate 30 hours a week of idle flicking through whilst watching TV eating lunch etc

Pinkvoid · 08/06/2019 18:32

2-4 hours a day Blush.

CakeNinja · 08/06/2019 18:38

17 minutes per day. I think that can only really have been in the last few weeks, I’ve been off MN largely for about a year or so, dropping in and out but very rarely posting these days.
Midsomer basically sums it up for me, and I seemed to be reading so much from people who are barely able to think for themselves Shock - it got boring and infuriating so I just stopped reading.
Although I will still always come back time and time again, there really are some brilliant posters and I have learnt so much.

DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou · 08/06/2019 18:39

Oooh how do I find out??

DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou · 08/06/2019 18:41

Oh arse. I just looked and screen time wasn't on.
I've switched it on and I will report back in a week Grin

I'm on maternity leave though, so I would hazard a guess at 30-60 minutes per day.

Much less when im working. That would be more like 30 mins a week.

There's some posters on here that would be 3-4 hours a day at least. I'm glad I'm not them.

FoxSquadKitten · 08/06/2019 19:56

Oh.My.God
15 hours 😱

I need help 🤦‍♀️

YukoandHiro · 08/06/2019 19:57

About an hour a day while feeding my toddler to sleep. Waste of time, I should write a novel on google notes or something

DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou · 08/06/2019 20:48

15 hours a day?

DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou · 08/06/2019 20:49

No that's just not possible.
Per week though.

For those who want to MN less and do more the OU do free courses. I've started one and it's great. I highly recommend them.

HotSauceCommittee · 08/06/2019 20:55

Fucking loads. Thank you Mumsnet. I have worked really hard to get a better job, and now I have been in it for six weeks, I realise I have been miserable for the same length of time. Reading about the resilience, optimism, strength and tenacity of other women in far worse situations than I am has kept my pity party in check and although I am a head case at the moment, I will endure. I was a quitter in my younger years, but less so now.

Mumsymumphy · 08/06/2019 21:00

Pah! Amateurs!

In my defense, I have been off work 😁

How much time do you really spend on Mumsnet?
firstimemamma · 08/06/2019 21:03

Mainly when I'm breastfeeding.

DuffBeer · 08/06/2019 21:06

Daily average for MN is 1 hr 40!

FB is 16 mins Grin

MotherOfTheNoise · 08/06/2019 21:23

I just checked and I can't even tell you it's so embarrassing Blush but I have a 7 month old and a husband that runs a pub so I often have evenings where it's just me on my lonesome until he gets home or a baby that randomly wakes up at 4.30am...could definitely have done something better with those hours though!!

FoxSquadKitten · 08/06/2019 23:00

15 hours a day?

😂 not a day, a week.

But I'm bloody well on it again now.

I'm leaving now........
