Worried about fine

Hi not sure if you can see the attachment, if I've received a letter from a debt recovery company saying I owe them £160 for an unpaid parking charge. This is the first I've heard about it - nothing on my car and no previous correspondence. I was apparently parked in a car park longer than the 2 hours allowed! I know this is absolute rubbish! I went to have my nails painted which takes one hour max! What would you do? I'm scared of this escalating and it says at the bottom that the Supreme Court has ruled that these aren't to be ignored! Help!

Definitely don’t ignore because they escalate. I know there is a section on moneysavingexpert site on how to appeal these types of tickets. Are you sure you didn’t go over the 2 hours? Have you evidence you didn’t?

Ask them for their photographs as proof based on that reason. And I'd take the attachment down - your personal details can be seen. Black marker doesn't redact brilliantly well.

OP, your personal details can still be seen. I have reported this for you in case you dont see our warnings for hours on end Smile Sorry, no advice on the fine unfortunately
