I don't want to go back on medication so need something else to help. Don't have time for yoga and walks in the forest so need it to be pretty quick and straightforward.

I started taking l-theanine and it seems to have calmed my anxiety and stress levels. Such a relief!!

Thanks, both these suggestions are right up my street! L theanine ordered & I will read up some more on tapping!

Hope you find l-theanine works as well for you as it has for me. I was really struggling with general anxiety and feeling so stressed out about everything when I started taking it. I'm so much calmer now and feel much more like my old self. Hang in there. It will get better.

Exercise! Just quick home workouts from YouTube every morning have really helped me.

whatareyoudoingneil · 08/06/2019 14:11

@SingingGoldfinch I will be so happy if that happens!!

@GenericDietCola no chance of morning workouts but I am psyching myself up to do a bit of evening exercise

I found reading and applying the ideas from the book 'The Chimp Paradox' has helped me with de-escalating my anxiety a bit. It's a nice easy read so might be something you could pick up and put down for 15 mins a day?

Do you have any options for reducing the stress in your life? Not always possible I know but maybe worth seeing if there is anything that you could stop?

How's it going op? Hope you're feeling less anxious now??
