To expect flykiller to kill fucking flies?

There's one in my house which has had FIVE direct hits and still zooms off, flipping me a V-sign! In the 1970s, fly-killer made flies drop to the floor immediately and die in less than a minute. Have they changed it?

Most forms of pest control have to confirm to international animal welfare standards. We have mike traps that gently trap the mole while batteries power little robotic arms that tickle their bellies until they are doubled up with mole-laughter. They stay well away after that.

For blow flies, we generally have a couple of peacock feathers handy and tickle the undersides of their sucker pads until they buzz out the window.

Hairspray works better if you can stand the smell.

In our lab we used to use Germolene Spray Plaster. Basically glue in alcohol.
Hits fly, alcohol evaporates, glues flies' wings together and he drops vertically out of the sky.
It's environmentally friendly and fun for the kids. Although not so great for your windows.
By the way, I've found French fly spray to be more effective than the British equivalent. Which gets me a few odd looks at the Super U checkout but there you go...

Be warned ,some Zap Bats "bang" when you connect,I learnt the hard way with my new toy & almost fell to the floor before the fly,the kids found it hilarious !
