Can someone please tell me the process of moving? Do you find somewhere and then put your house on the market or put your house on the market first?
What happens with the mortgage? Does it just carry over to the new house?
Also when we took out the mortgage I was on the mortgage as I was working but I'm a sahm now will I still stay on the mortgage ? New to all this tia x

Can help with first two questions. Put your house on market first, vendor will not usually take an offer on their house if you are not under offed yourselves.

Check with your mortgage provider if you can port your mortgage across to a new property. If you need to borrow more then it will be added as an extra loan on top.

Good luck Smile!

See a broker before you do anything, if you need to increase your mortgage you’ll need to know they’ll lend you that much if you are no longer working. Your broker can check if you can port your mortgage over, and borrow more if needs be.
