Do you pay your cleaner for their holidays?
Do you pay them when you’re away?

I used to be a cleaner. I had 1 very lovely client who paid me when she went away even though I wasn't going that week. I think it's nice to pay your cleaner if you're away, it's not their fault that they cant come to do their job., its their livelihood. Most of my clients gave me keys so I went as usual and sometimes did things I didnt normally get time to do.

My cleaner comes whether I'm in or not. If I was away for more than a week I'd give her different jobs to do on the second week so she's not cleaning a clean house.

I don't pay her if she can't come for any reason though. I'll try to reschedule if it's just a day she misses but if she's on holiday then I don't. I give her something extra at Christmas though because she's a lovely person.
