My DD is in year 9 and where we live they start their GCSE's in year 9. She is in some disruptive lessons and we had these problems on yr8, got told it would be fine and it would get better but it hasn't. She always gets sat with disruptive students. Spoken to Head of year and she has spoken to kids but they don't improve. She is an exceptional student and I don't want to let her down. Please help!!

Look for another school? Is behaviour generally bad? If she's high achieving will sets change next year? Higher sets are generally (not always) less disrupted

Is it mixed attainment?

You need to contact the school again. Ask for a face to face with the head of year. List your concerns. Name specific students you don't want her sat near. Give them a time frame to act on the points.

We have 3 year KS4 too. We do reset the students between 9 and 10 though so there's a chance this might happen. You can request she move set, but they may not be able to accommodate this.

We've tried moving sets they won't let her. But good ideas I'm going to email the school

She's top group for English and set 2 for maths and science. We tried moving last year as we had issues in maths and drama and they said no there is no point
