Boring insurance question

It’s that time of year again when I have to renew buildings and contents. Annual premium has gone up 30% in price from £200 to £260 (ish) and tbh I really don’t want to pay.

I’ve done a couple of quotes but interested to hear those non-comparison site companies I may not have thought of.

Try John Lewis. Good coverage and much cheaper than I was expecting. I pay about £240 and that's the high level one

Check out NFU mutual. We have buildings, contents and vehicle insurance with them.

Our home insurance is with M&S their top of the range cover and it was over 2/3rds cheaper than our renewal quote, and we get much better cover.

We got a brilliant deal with esure, not sure if they're on those sites but I got the quote from their own site and it was half my renewal cost!
