If you could go away for a couple of nights in early July, where would you go, and even better, what hotel would you stay in?

If you like B&Bs and walking/views, we once stayed here in Northumberland: amazing for star gazing and wildlife.

If you want a proper hotel, I love the Pennington in the Lake District – tiny little seaside village, fantastic food, the sea, the lakes...

Annecy in the Alps would be perfect for a couple of nights of wine and delicious French food in the most picturesque town.

If you don't want to fly, I love the Peak Distict and a couple of days walking would be bliss for me. Castleton, Hope or Edale, holiday cottage rather than hotel for me.
