Bidding on houses

We're private renting at the moment but we can't stand our new neighbours and we're fed up of not being able to do anything with the house.

We bid on a new build round the corner from our house within walking distance to DS nursery.

But now a brand new, new build house in the "nicer" area of town has gone on which we love.

We are on the highest band so when I'm bidding we're going straight to the front of the queue number 1.

What on Earth do we do? We have been thinking about moving DS from that nursery anyway as we're not happy with it.

The one round the corner ends in 2 days and the one on the other side of town ends in 5 days.

What would you do?

DS is so young that I promise you he will adjust. My DC are 14 and 11 now...the times I worried about things like this...well I wish I knew then what I knew now! Bid for the house you want...it will be MUCH better for DS to live in that area. But beware you might not even get it despite being in the highest band. Someone else might come along with more needs.

There's nothing to stop you putting in a bid on both places. There will be others looking and bidding too. I bid on lots of places before getting my last flat.
