Tracking Child Watches - what happened to them?

Sat looking at my son’s favourite toy, who recently joined us on holiday and was a very involved character in a number of our best laughs, I suddenly realised how upsetting it would be if he ever got lost. My son is 11 and we’ve had Tiny Turtle for a few years now and he’s been key to talking to my son who has autism when he’s moody and helps him talk about things when he can’t talk directly to me. Thinking of the horror of replacing him, I wondered if anyone had come up with a tracking device for tots and fell down a Google rabbit hole!

In 2016, Richmond sausages gave away 200,000 toy trackers in a campaign called “Sausage & Chip” which got the bill perfectly - but that campaign was a few years ago and surely a company must have made them for public sale... which then lead to an article about these trackers, made by a company called B-on who also made tracking watches for children called Amigo watches.

Now I’ve Googled, but there’s no further information. Links from the articles for their website loop back to Google homepage. It’s all very odd.

Anyway, I wondered if anybody here knew the story behind it?
