Got a call while I was at work from my son, he said there was a bird in the living room. Its crapped everywhere so been around for a while. We both left at 7 ish and he didnt get back till 1500 . All doors and widows were shut, how did this bird get in?! Its a mystery. Do you know what bird this is?

Oh... I've had this. I think mine came down the chimney.

Yours looks like a Magpie, but its hard to tell at that angle.

GerundTheBehemoth · 05/06/2019 20:29

It's a magpie... has it got out yet?

Jeffjefftyjeff · 05/06/2019 20:31

Presume you don’t have chimney? Could it have got in before you went out? We recently had 2 rooks in our front room - got one outside then couldn’t find other so thought must have been mistaken and was only one. Turned out 2nd one was hiding silently behind a bookshelf and reappeared about 6 hours later.

Are you sure it's a magpie - it doesn't look as if it's got anywhere near enough white on it (then again, my screen is a bit buggered)

Probably chimney

Or magic, to confuse the muggles

I posted the pic on facebook, my mates said it was a baby magpie, it flew away as my son opened the door. Wrecked the living room. Vases were on the floor, he shat everywhere. Poor thing mustve been scared

Still no idea how it got it. Chimney has a cover on the top. Possibly thats broken?I will have to get some one to check. Im still flabbergasted on as to how it got in!
