My DH has just cooked me a lovey fillet steak dinner.
After I ate the last morsel he informed me that he had actually forgotten to take it out to defrost in the fridge - he knew the microwave defrost would ruin it - so he left it beside the ceramic hob with the ring on full blast for an hour. So indirect heat as opposed to direct heat.
He then pan fried it and sealed it but it was medium rare.
Am I looking at food poisoning here? Was good quality fillet - please say no!
