I need to see citizens advice (tax/MH issue). However I can’t see anything on the website as to whether you need an appointment? Do you just drop in? Thanks

Most CAB have appointment systems as they get very busy. Some have drop in sessions. The website of the specific one eg Sheffield CAB will have details. Or call the number and a message should tell you

It varies between branches. My closest is only open one morning a fortnight (funding cuts), that's a drop in service but they'll make an appointment for you at a bigger branch and give you a bus ticket if you can't afford to get there (it's nearly an hour). For the bigger branch you have to book a triage appointment, where they take details of the problem, help if they can and if not book you an appointment with one of the specialist advisors.

If it's a tax issue have you spoken to TaxAid? They have more expertise in the area, and CAB may even refer you to them.

If you put your postcode into the box at the bottom right of this page it will take you to the contact details for your local office with their opening times for both the office and the phone lines. Some offices run a phone triage system and others can see you on the day.

I’ve tried the number and it just says ‘call failed’.
Only other information is opening times (have tried to attach screenshot)

@help1111 it depends on which one you're going to.

Looks like they've got a walk in tomorrow morning.

I'd be there for 9am, they can get very busy.
