Would you give your pre schooler a dummy

DD is 3.5. Never had a dummy.

She loves doll games and pretending to be a baby. She has asked me to buy her some real baby dummies for her birthday so she can suck them and pretend to be a baby...

DH is concerned that she may take up the dummy habit now if I let her have one as a toy. But surely not?! What do you think?

No I wouldn’t buy her one. Buy one for her dolly if she wants one

Sorry should have said she does have a small plastic one that came with a doll but DH doesn't think she shouldn't be sucking on it incase it is toxic..
