DS decided to launch himself at me on the sofa and has split my forehead.

Is there anything I can do to stop it scaring as I really don't want a scar where it is

Yep - get yourself a blister plaster. It won't look pretty while it's on! It keeps the area moist, which we now know encourages good healing. I used one on a big split on my knee, and it healed without forming a scab and therefore there was no scar.
You can get them in supermarkets or pharmacies. I always have some in.

I doubt it'll scar,it's not huge, looks more bruised than anything.

Silicon scar cream or patch will help. Breaking one a vit E capsule and massaging it in is good too once the scan has gone.

Thank you I'll get some

I had a bad burn earlier this year. I took serropeptase and used Boots Scar Reduction Serum. Hardly visible now.

Blister/hydrocolloid plaster? Did ds come off without a scratch?

BurntSausage · 04/06/2019 16:29

Blimey, poor you! When it’s healed more and not scabby, make sure you get some sunblock on the remaining mark. SPF50.

Thank everyone!

DS does not have a mark on him, clearly has the thicker head than me
