Help...Virginmedia - email saying your password has been changed, it hasnt!!!

So my password isnt working, it is saying it has been changed - I havent!!

Ive gone into reset a new password eg. said forgotten password and when I enter security question then new password isnt letting me proceed.

My husband bought me the phone and it's linked to his account but the email address Ive had for years with my own password set up etc.

any ideas anyone why it's not working?

Hi, I had something similar earlier in year but with Apple on my phone. Turns out someone had compromised my Apple ID etc . I had to get them to cancel the account, and totally wipe/reboot phone Sad.
Also had to contact bank etc as my details were available via Apple ID!
Hope not as serious for you but best check it out.

Did you follow a link in the email? If so it may well have been a virus.

Phone virgin media and they will talk you through resetting your password with security questions.
