If my child was in contact on Friday with a child that came out in chicken pox last night is there a high chance they may get it too?

Potentially. It's a 2-3 week wait now unfortunately :(

Contagious period starts 1-2 days before spots appear so they may or may not get it. Incubation period is 10-21 days so you won't know for a while
