Ok.

My daughter who is 8 has has epilepsy since the age of 6months. She's been awarded DLA but earlier this year, (February) I got the dreaded brown envelope for her renewal.. anyways I filled it out and send it off. Got a letter saying they have received it on 3rd March. Now her DLA is due to run out the 19th of this month and I called them today and they said it's still to be seen by a decision maker! How long will I need to wait? It's stressing me out so much.. her mobility isn't great at all, she falls over has Adsense seizures quite a lot she's getting some eeg's done aswell. I really can't be doing stressing about her getting refused it. Thanks

As they've received your renewal form, your dd's DLA should continue to be paid until the decision maker has looked at it - this is also true when your dd is 16 and moving from DLA onto PIP (like my dd is now), as there's a bit of a wait for an assessment.

When we renewed ours last year they turned it round in a couple of weeks. I hope you get a positive response soon.

We are waiting too. Our original application and first renewal were turned around within a couple of weeks but this latest renewal is taking an age. We are week 7 of waiting but thankfully ours doesn’t run out for a while yet but they are obviously running behind.
Hope you hear soon. Keep chasing.

Thanks for the messages. I'm hoping she will get it as I'm a single mother and it's hard going and very worrying, so stressful waiting.
