Give me some really lovely jam recommendations...

I’ve just finished a jar of cherry and amaretto jam that I bought from Betty’s Tea Room in York... it was absolutely delicious but unfortunately I’m not heading back up north any time soon so I can’t get any more! Problem is all the jam in my fridge now looks really boring... raspberry, yawn, apricot, blah, marmalade whatevs!

Can anyone suggest some really nice jam that I could try? I live in London so have a decent selection of shops at my disposal...

TK Maxx always has a selection of more unusual jams - I've bought strawberry and mint, mango, passionfruit, pineapple.

We love the bonne maman berries and cherries jam.

Rosebud Preserves in Borough Market do a cherry and amaretto jam, not massively expensive either. You might like cherry and cognac jam from Fortnum and Mason. Otherwise try blackberry and sloe gin from Rosebud.

Tiptree Greengage jam

Almost any blackcurrant, except the very cheapest, is the favourite here.
Always put it in a Victoria sandwich, too - not that I make those very often - it's very slightly tart so goes v well with the sweetness of the cake.

Bonne Amman strawberry conserve -has great big whole strawberries in it, and tastes of strawberry, not just sweet mush.

I had a really nice damson jam the other day, must ave bought it in the supermarket, but I forget the brand.

Mackay's Scottish 3 berry from Tesco is rather nice, our local market has some lovely homemade jams too so worth keeping an eye out for your local ones.
