What size cake?

Ordering a birthday cake for my Mum’s 80th and will want to cut it into about 70 pieces.
Would a 12x12 square be big enough? The pieces don’t have to be huge, just a token piece for guests.

Sounds fine. If you gave people a bit that was 2in by 1in you would have 72 bits.

Someone would probably need to take charge of the cutting up, rather than just letting people help themselves, to make sure that there are enough pieces.

But if you literally just want everyone to have a small piece of cake, it will probably be fine and not everyone will want some anyway, so there will probably be a few pieces left over.

Thanks both of ypu, that’s useful.
