We are now closer to 2040 than 1994. I read that last year and it really pickled my brain!

My cousin helpfully wrote on my last birthday card “Congratulations - closer to 70 than 30”!

I was talking to my dad about how time goes on Friday, we were talking about how 1990 was 30 years ago next year and when I was born, but when he thinks 30 years ago he still thinks of the 80s.
