I'm from NE Scotland and we travelled to:
Ilkley
Nottingham
Eckington where we also visited tewkesbury
Windermere and surrounding areas.

It was lovely! Nottingham justice museum was brilliant, if you're in that area and haven't been I'd deffo recommend it.
Sherwood forest was nice and when we went there was a wee archery contest going on and actors dress up..was fab.
Tewkesbury Abbey was lovely to see, very interesting and the map of the important things to note was a good idea.
Windermere is just always amazing, even though it was raining we still had a good time. I had been on the lake before so we did the aquarium, Beatrix potter's house, had an amazing dinner at the applegarth.
All great.

Just thought I'd say what a lovely time we had :)

Lovely post. I have been to some of those places albeit a long time ago and it’s always great to hear if they are still as nice and to learn about new places to visit.
