For about 25 quid. Not a rose bush. Any brilliant ideas?

Everything seems so naff so you might as well get a novelty present!

Does the recipient really need a lasting memento or stuff?

Would a food gift or cinema tickets/local theatre be better received?

I bought a silver salt and pepper set for DBIL and DSIL as I thought they could use them.

Personalised silver photo frame with the date of the wedding engraved?

I couldn't do this as I don't understand this - but if you have someone in the family who could ( and you know whether they have DVDs or other stuff ) what about just some music all put together nicely from 25 years ago on a medium they can use - or is that a bit obvious ?

Otherwise - I bought this for a wedding present and it was well received www.johnlewis.com/english-pewter-company-stag-head-bottle-stopper/p3188174 - it isn't silver but useful & quite nice.
