Child maintenance

I have a child with my ex and he has an 18 year old who lives with him but is off to uni in September. He has no other children at home.
He's never changed the amount on the standing order when it's changed and I've not bothered to chase it as it's only a few pounds.
Does the amount change once the child at home is an adult/18/at uni?
He has no contact with our son and we are not in touch.

Yes, or should change, not sure at what age. Child maintenance call line or calculator will tell you.

It seems to change by about £20 a month which isn't worth chasing I don't think.

Child maintenance stops when the child goes to uni as do all other benefits. The young person can then claim in their own right and get grants and bursaries to live on.

I lost half my income when dd went to uni. Luckily for her he father still gave her some money.

Sorry I read the question wrong. Yes you will get more now his other child is a uni but not much.
