Right now I’m on holiday in Maui, drinking gin. The kids are around somewhere, as we’ve pulled them out of school to be here!

(Also retrospectively realising I should probably post this in the wankiest things thread)

What’s your peak mumsnet moment today?

I have Maui shampoo and conditioner that I started this morning. That might be stretching it. OP's sounds better...

I've used No as a complete sentence, though!

The suction is generated by the motor.
So, as the muck & air is drawn into the bag, the motor is pumping air out after it's been filtered to heck. That nice warm filtered air smells nice if you put something in the bag.

I mean, you can buy scented sachets for vac bags but this trick, or some of those lenor unstoppables works brilliantly.

I've just had a home made macaroni cheese pie slice sandwich (on olive bread).

Took dc to a local petting farm and insisted they run about. Less MN was the McDonald's on they way home.

Danglingmod · 02/06/2019 15:54

Well I've done not a great deal but read a book and the papers, but my perfectly trained offspring has done many chores, all unprompted, plus fetched said Sunday paper and made me cups of tea, all in between revising hard for his exams.

Listened to the Archers. If I had a pearl necklace I would have clutched it.

elephantoverthehill · 02/06/2019 16:06

I've picked and prepared home grown organic strawberries and put them in the fridge for Dcs to have healthy snacks today.

Attempted to keep my twatty toddler quiet at 4.30am so we didn't disturb the neighbours. (Although referring to my toddler as twatty will split the mumsnet room into those that nod, and those that want to report me to social services.)

Batch cooked potato, leek and bacon soup and froze several portions, so said twatty toddler and I can enjoy a home cooked lunch throughout the week.

Cloudtree · 02/06/2019 16:09

I've made five family meals from two small half price chickens. Roast dinner, curry (plus one for the freezer) and moroccan tagine (plus one for the freezer).

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 02/06/2019 17:46

Bought tahini for home-made hummus. Decided to put avocado oil in it, instead of olive oil, to use it up. Because I bought it to use for my face which was not a success

HumptyNumptyNooNoo · 02/06/2019 18:04

Called into Waitrose for nibbles and fevertree !

I guess that's a bit mumsnetty !
( I guess I could have asked the nanny to do it instead, while I batch bake a months worth of suppers made from scratch )

FenceFuckery · 02/06/2019 18:33

@shartsi - was it cycling?
