Hair dye help!

I died my hair today a natural brown but it went patchy so I felt I had no option but to re-do it a couple of hours later. Not ideal but there was a really obvious streak in it. It’s now an even colour but is much too dark. I’ve read about using head and shoulders to lighten it up a bit and wondered if anyone had done it before and whether there is a particular technique I should use or whether I just repeatedly wash it? This will be the last time I attempt a home dye!

I think it'll lighten up after a couple of normal washes anyway, I always find that when I inevitably buy a shade too dark (every. single. time.)

Head and shoulders or Johnson's baby shampoo will fade it but only after several washes.

It's your best bet though as alternatives are colourb4 which doesn't get you back to original colour it leaves and orange tinge or bleach then re-dye which would cause damage.

Thank you! I’m really hoping so - I’ve done this before but not for many years and I can’t remember how long it took to fade.
