UC mandatory reconsideration

New UC application. Found out today that we have been awarded nothing, as the fucknuggets at the DWP have forgotten to include the childcare elements, despite me uploading all the evidence of this. I have requested a mandatory reconsideration, but I can't find any information about how long it will take. Really need the money in the next fortnight or we will have to use our credit card, which I really don't want to do. Does anyone know how long it might take?

Don't quote me, but have been through a Mandatory for DLA a few years ago and it was four weeks for that.

I hope you get sorted out, they are useless fucknuggets indeed. Thanks

So I chased it up today. I ended up calling them three times. The last time it became so fucking Kafkaesque I actually burst into tears and the guy on the phone seemed to genuinely be sorry. I insisted I get a recalculation today, which I have just received. I am now entitled to £302. Not sure why that was so difficult to sort out, but hey ho...

Seriously though, I have an Oxbridge degree and am quite on the ball. Everyone I spoke to seemed to assume I knew exactly how the online system works and how it can get mixed up. No, I don't, and your crap communication style goes quite some way in explaining the wait times on the phone!

I got the feeling several times that I actually understand how UC is calculated better than the people I spoke to Angry "If you're earning it would probably still end up on £0 though" How the fuck can you assume that??? Surely there wouldn't be an option to receive funding for childcare if that were the case??
