Does anyone have any experience of travelling with young children as a single parent? My marriage has very recently ended and I'm a bit nervous about taking DD abroad, just the 2 of us.

We went may half term last year, it cost less than a week in center parcs 🤔 for flights and hotel (£1400 for 3 of us)

We went to ocean park, big Buddha, ladies market, night market, street food, foot massages

It's one of their favourite holidays
Weather was fab in may too
This pic was taken st my friends house out in HK

I've just been away with 2 young DCs. It was pretty tiring I won't lie. We went to a Spanish Island. There were certain logistical issues like what do do if a DC needs the loo during dinner (every night!) I was also quite ratty with the kids a few times as I was the sole one in charge... Had a shitty twat say to his wife in my hearing range 'there's a lot of single mums here' whilst she stared and smirked at me. However hopefully it broadened their horizons! Don't expect it to be perfect and you will be fine.

I’m not a single parent, but I often fly out aheaD of DH and sometimes I leave before him and the DC. A couple of years ago he couldn’t get away due to lack of staff (his company) and I did find it harder in some ways, but easier in others.

We have neve4 done the letters thing, except for when DC were travelling separate from both parents, but I would recommend you follow protocol as it will remove potential stress.

In some ways it can be easier on your own.
