Best light buggy for holidays

I’m sure this has been done a bazillion times. We’re going on holiday next month and I’d like a light weight, foldable buggy so we can leave the bugaboo behind.

Ideally it would recline for naps. To be used by just-3 DD and just-1 DS (not at the same time!).

The slightly tricky thing is that I’m short and I know most umbrella buggies don’t have adjustable handles. They would be a bonus.

Ideally storage space for all our crap, and a sunshade.

Very grateful for ideas!

What's your budget?

Rainatnight · 31/05/2019 20:00

Good point. I wouldn’t really want to go above £150, so I guess that rules out the most expensive MacLarens etc? (We could get second hand, of course).

We have just bought a joie for £120, it has a 5 click recline and collapses into a bag with one push. It has a huge sun shade hood that is UV 50 protection. Unfortunately I cant remember the name of it and it doesn't say it on it, pact rings a bell. It's great, would definitely recommend, we have just used it in Mexico for a fortnight and my little one loves sleeping in it.

We got an outnabout little nipper for a travel buggy and now use it as our main one as well.

Mamas and Papas Acro.

Folds tiny, comes with travel bag, reclines, large hood, locking wheels, adjustable handle bar. We got it for £99 in a sale but it seems to be quite a bit more expensive at the minute. Second hand perhaps?

Pretty small though, 3yr old might not find it too comfy.

We have a baby zen yoyo (I have a small car) and that folds up nearly and goes into overhead storage on a plane. To fit into your budget I'd suspect you'd need to go second hand though.

We have a joie pact which fits your brief!

Second hand baby jogger city mini.

Thank you all! Looking at some of these have made me realise a key thing I didn’t take into account - DD is over 15kg, which rules out the super light ones.

So I guess we’re in the territory of looking for a light normal umbrella one? I don’t feel like I have to take it on board with us - DS can go in the sling, so we can hand the buggy over at the gate.
