Does anyone here suffer from Lipoedema?

I've got an appointment Monday to discuss this possibility with my doctor.
My legs have always been out of proportion, and I've had a few people mention to me recently, that they think I have this.
If you have it, can I ask how it affects you day to day please? I've lived with it for so long, I don't really know what is a symptom, and what could be classed as normal.
I have puffiness in my legs, they ache quite often, and I cannot lose weight or tone them up, no matter how hard I try.
Thanks in advance

I was diagnosed with lipoedema last year. I have always suffered with leg pain and had very large unsightly legs that were out of proportion to the rest of me. It was getting progressively worse and was told it would continue to do so unless treated. Treatment is a form of complex liposuction which removes the infected fat. I have had 2 of these ops with a specialist in the midlands and have the third and final one soon. The pain and aesthetics have improved loads! Hardcore surgery though so only advisable If really needed. x

Doctor not sufferer. The simplest form of treatment is a compression garment and will relieve some of the aching and discomfort

You should ask to see a vascular specialist and should have a venous duplex scan to exclude problems with your veins causing the puffiness. We have too many patients treated as lip oedema or lymphoedema who actually have a venous problem which is treatable

I had the above. I didn’t have puffiness or swelling
