Colleague having hysterectomy soon... I’d like to start a whip round for something nice for her.

But what? Help lovely mnetters.

How much money are you hoping to collect?

Could you buy lots of bits that will be handy in hospital & her first few days home eg/ moisturiser, hand cream, lip balm, dry shampoo, slippers, book or magazines, sudoku book and a nice pen, chocolates, mints, insulated mug so if she's home alone she can make a cuppa for now and one for later, save doing the shuffle to the kitchen twice. Get everyone to recommend a box set to watch.

Hello hello! Probably about £50 I reckon. I love the idea of a survival pack, and she does like a lovely pen. She never spoils herself and will be doing this largely alone save for her adult son.
