Can anyone recommend a company that does really good faux plants please?

Following. Everything I’ve seen looks so cheap and nasty.

BlueSkiesLies · 30/05/2019 23:01

Ikea have some good ones. Not all of them but some are super realistic.

I have bought orchids from bloom before they are lovely. Haven’t tried their other plants.

Fridakahlofan · 30/05/2019 23:05

Just don’t. Bad for the environment. Have nothing or real ones!

Bad for the environment.

How?

Real plants purify the air, sucking up toxins and processing them, faux are reliant on the plastic industry, adding to plastic waste when people get fed up of them. I'm a plant fan but have plant munching cats so my thing is cactii/succulents/house leeks which actually, are easier to look after than the average leafy houseplant (albeit not as bit or dramatic, which I would love but not an option).

Thanks everyone, it's actually for my daughter. She has a hallway that is L shaped and get no natural light. She has tried to grow ivy in it and two plants have died so she thought this might be a good alternative. I very much agree that real plants are far better for the environment, look great and it's what I would prefer, but she asked me if I knew of any suppliers and as I've never had a fake plant in my life I thought I would ask on here.

Fake Landscapes in Chelsea. I work in the industry, trust me on this one.

If you want very good, you'll have to spend ££££

Flowersmakemyday · 01/06/2019 00:23

Thanks LadyOftheCanyon, I remember seeing a really good looking shop when I was in Fulham recently, but I was in a taxi at the time (not from the area). I think this is the same company. I'll let my daughter know about this and the others.

I was in Homesense yesterday and they had some lovely faux flowers and plants including cacti and succulents that were all realistic looking.

Well we certainly made up for the fact we will be buying one plastic ivy today. We went to the Scottish Garden show and came back with three climbing hydrangeas, three foxgloves and a delphinium, Thanks everyone for your help.
