Why would a photograph be removed from google?

A while ago I searched for someone and their photo was in the group of images. Now it isn't. The same photos seem to be in the top few so don't know if it's the case that the one I saw has been bumped down as less searched for or there's another reason it's no longer there. Any ideas anyone?

If I change my photo on LinkedIn, the old one goes away from Google search?

I happen to know they didn't have a photo on LinkedIn even though they have a listing on that site.

Copyright?

People can remove their images if they want to. Google will tell you how.

It's most likely that they've deleted the image from wherever google was indexing it from, whether that's LinkedIn, or some other site.

I thought once a photo was posted on line it was there forever. It had crossed my mind they may have died. I guess I'll never know.
