14-month old at the seaside

We're going to the British seaside next month with a 14-month old. She's not crawling or walking yet. It's a sandy beach.

What should we bring or buy to help her enjoy the seaside even though she can't move by herself? Is it worth getting her a swimming cossie or jelly shoes? We have a lilo donut for children, but not sure we can do much with it!

Thank you 🏖

Get a sun suit or wet suit ideally as extra sun protection, a sun tent is a good idea and expect that crawling or walking may have kicked in! Jelly shoes are perfect. A weight suitable life jacket is good for the water as extra safety

Everything you need can be bought there of course - often cheaper than inland! But Aldi can be good for bits so keep an eye out

Don’t get too excited both of my step children hated the beach/sand until they were about 7 years old! A long trip to the beach lasted about an hour and a half, our shortest was 20 minutes before we gave up. I stopped bothering to apply sunscreen as it wasn’t worth it for such a short time. Fortunately they both seem to love now which is great coz the in-laws have holiday house close to the beach so we can actually go to the beach now when we are there.

Right, no cossie it is. And yes to sun tent. What do people think about this sort of thing (see pic)?
