I have googled this and not got far.
I am going to Paris in a few weeks and I am dairy free. A quick question. Can you get dairy free butter/ margarine.

What should I be looking for in terms of wording.

May sound like a silly question to ask on here. And I have googled but. I don’t want to be sick while I’m there. So if anyone here lives in France or can send me a photo of the product I would buy / wording. I would be really grateful.

Would a lactose free powder be sufficient? There is something called Zero that you can buy over there. It's only available in certain supermarkets though so it may be dependant in where you are staying.

Yes you can buy St Hubert fruit d'or which is widely available or Provamel Cuire et Tartiner which you'd probably have more luck finding in a health food shop (do still check the labels though because it depends slightly on what you mean by dairy-free).

Sans produits laitiers is what you want on the label, or 100% végétal. Agree that healthfood shops (biocoop, la vie claire, marché de léopold etc etc) will have more but even monoprix/casino/intermarché/leclerc etc have that sort of thing in the butter and margarine aisles. Also lots of nut/rice/soja/ etc 'milks'.
