In a foreign city without husband. Went for meal this evening with other members of group.
Had what can only be described as a connection with the owner/waiter.

He appeared to be flirting and very tactile, hand on my shoulder etc.

We left restaurant and that was it never to be seen again.

Bizarre and has never happened to me before. Anyone else??

It happens. Has it bothered you?

I had something like it on the bus in Leeds about 25 years ago. It was love at first sight. We had a few words and he was as blushing flustered as I was. Then he had to get off with the people he was with and we stared at each other as the bus drove off with me on it. It was awful... I was getting married shortly after!

Um, he’s probably flirtatious and shoulder-touchy with a different tourist every night!

Doesn't bother me and totally get that I may be one of many.
It was just so weird and unexpected. I wasn't dressed up, was with a group of very serious people.
He had no reason to be flirty with me.

He had no reason to be flirty with me.

Waiting staff/bar staff/promotion staff etc have no 'reason' to be flirty with anyone, they often just are.

It's nice (if) it's given you a boost but I wouldn't over think it.

He was after a good tip. Guaranteed he flirts with 99% of single women (ie women there without a man with them) in his restaurant. Stop overthinking!

reminds me of shirley valentine and that barman that shagged her on the boat
he used the same line on all the women
