Fonthill road - Prom dresses

Does anyone have any recommendations for specific shops to try? We are coming down to London this weekend and thought we might take a look here for dd2’s prom dress.

We won’t have much more that 5-6 hours and the few shops I’ve looked up seem to be the custom made ones. I’m not keen to do that and I’d prefer to go somewhere she can try on and take home if possible. It would be perfect to have a few that would be worth looking at.

Thanks in advance

With Fonthill Road you really have to take pot luck! You can't always tell from the window displays what they have inside, so best to go in as many as you can. Good luck!

Warn your daughter that not all shops in Fonthill Road have changing rooms and those that do tend to be tiny curtained-off corners. She could wear leggings and a camisole top to make trying in public easier. They were wholesale shops and are pretty small. But there are lots of them.

Thanks both of you. Good advice about the changing rooms, I’ll let her know to wear something suitable. Think I’ll start at the first one we come to and see how far we get.
