Gift for new dad

A friend's son's ex partner has recently had a new baby. Son is fully involved with the child, but isn't in a relationship with the mother. I will buy the new baby a gift, but wondered if you had any suggestions as to what to buy dad? Most things I can think of seem very "coupley", or nothing to do with a newborn.

Maybe a photo frame that says dad. I know they are usually a bit twee but my ds has a DC with an ex partner. He has a photo of himself and brand new baby in one of those frames and his dd ..now she is older...loves it when she goes to his place for the weekend seeing herself and her dad together right after her birth. He was very young when she was born .
He also has a baby book made up of photos which they often look at together. It's important for her to know he was always in her life...so a nice baby book.
Or if he will have baby later for the weekend something nice for baby there. My gd has her own teddies etc since birth at her dads place.

I like the idea of a "dad" photo frame, june - thank you! I think it will do very nicely! I usually buy something for the couple, as well as the baby, and wanted to do the same this time, but just for dad.
