Anyone applied online for a child's passport?

I'm taking DC to ASDA today to get their passport photos taken. The lady I spoke to on the phone said that they give us the code for digital photos so we can do the passport application online which is what I was hoping to do.

I just wondered what we do regarding signing the photos to confirm we are who they say they are if it's all digital?

No they aren’t.

You do need passport details of both parents for child pp application.

I also just renewed 15yo DS passport online and it was rejected due to him changing too much. They then sent me a paper form and I had to complete that too. A load of hassle! Someone I know at the post office said they are rejecting a lot atm and they recommend all children get them counter signed just in case

Did this for my two dc’s a few week back. Took the photos on my phone, uploaded to the passport portal. my friend then went on line, viewed the photos and verified their ID. Really quick and simple and we had new passports within 10 days!

That’s not what she asked TheClitterati

mingeonfire there’s no option to just add a signatory if it doesn’t ask you for one, so you can’t do it just in case.

I know Georgie, they recommend doing it on a form rather than online. Which conveniently costs more! Although I paid the online price and ended up having to do a form anyway
