Invitation to Birthday party

Hi

My son received an invitation today for a birthday party which was written on a small scrap piece of paper (without even the mention word "invite" - back of envelope style. It is written by the child but my son was given the invite by another child. I don't know if this is a prank or not! I was kind of offended for my son to receive this. I have never seen anything like this before and I really do not how to respond.

Should I contact the mum and say is this for real or just ignore the invite?

This does sound like a prank and if it is it’s really mean. I’d be tempted to send a photo of the ‘invite’ to the Mum asking if it’s really an invite.

Sounds like a prank. Kids can be arseholes.
