Online grocery shopping rage

Do any supermarkets not take payment for online deliveries in the middle of the night? Asda regularly cancel my monthly shop as my bank flags the payment as fraudulent-even though I do it every month, at the same shop. I receive a text at 2am that the bank expects me to respond to before they release the funds.

Don't do your online shopping at Asda, their payments system is shite.

We’ve never shopped with Asda but I’m sure they’ve got form for this. I think there was a very similar thread complaining quite recently. Not sure when on the day others take the payment but we’ve used Ocado, Tesco and Sainsbury’s and never had a problem.

If you have a word with your bank they might be able to mark Asda as a 'safe' payment that doesn't require confirmation from you. Worth a try 🤷🏼‍♀️

Sainsburys take payment after your order is picked and the paperwork is being processed; generally from 0600 onwards.

Speak to your bank. Never had a problem with any online shopping.

The payment isn’t taken until after the shopping has been picked on day of delivery. This is so you’re not charged for items that aren’t in stock on that day. I’ve never online shopped with Asda but I’ve heard a lot of complaints

Morrisons take it after delivery and accept PayPal

I'm sure tesco don't take your money until your shopping has been picked and loaded. The only time we ever had a problem with payment was a few years ago when we got a call from Tesco saying there was a problem with our card payment and we needed to contact the bank. We did so straight away and it turned out that it was a security check due to the higher than usual cost (it was our main Christmas food shopping) And once we'd confirmed the payment request was genuine, the payment went through. Our shopping arrives about five minutes later! Since our deliveries come from about a 40 minute drive away, out shopping must have been in the van and en route before tesco tried to take payment!

Ocado take paypal and my payment is never claimed until a couple of hours after the delivery.
