Hyperbole? Probably. Dramatic? Definitely. But it certainly feels that way to me!

Long story short, I had cystic acne, went on accutane, acne went away, and now I'm left with scarring similar to this:

4 years ago, I consulted two separate dermatologists. Both of them recommended the same thing (co2 fractional lasers) so I thought great, let's just do that. I was told that it'd be months before I'd see results. The problem is, it has been a full 2 years since my last session and I don't see a smidgen of a difference, let alone the alleged "typical" 30-60% improvement! So that's one more ineffective treatment alongside all the microdermabrasions, microneedlings etc etc I've done over the course of the last decade.

£££££ later and I'm frustrated tbh. Can't wear makeup, even, because after spending literally hundreds on various primers, I've accepted that there's really nothing that's going to stop foundation from congregating in all the pitted scars.

Not sure what the point of this post is. Not one of my better days, I guess.

Fillers may be your only option.

Have you tried Hyaluronic acid applied topically and/or orally taking collagen powder? Not sure if it'll work but have heard good things about those two in general.
